POSITION SCOPE The Cost Controller is a role within Cost Control which part of the Project Controls team on the New England Wind project, a 2000 MW offshore wind project to serve the states of Connecticut and Massachusetts. The project is in an advanced permitting and procurement stage and has an estimated total CAPEX above eight billion dollars. The project is organized by main contract packages with overall responsibility to procure, coordinate, manage and execute until start of commercial operation in 2028/29. The successful candidate will be part of a fast-paced environment with demanding and everchanging needs and priorities following the different stages the Project will go through. The position will be responsible for several packages. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, organized, and can work well as part of a team. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities include: • Strong liaison with the package managers to ensure the determination on the committed expenditure and update/interrogate current budget assumptions. • Implement and ensure cost control processes to report on estimates, expenditures and cost commitments accurately. • Prepare monthly forecast update, reconciliation, and reports within project procedure including variance cost analysis reporting. • Support the Project budget request process. • Monitoring of purchase requisitions, purchase orders, accruals and goods received (GRN’s), raised in its majority by the Packages; as well as closing down PO’s in SAP. • Coordinate and lead the month-end Value of Work Done (accruals/prepayments) process. • Support and maintain the invoice control process with the relevant package managers. • Create and Maintain WBS structures, AO’s • Provide ad-hoc ‘cost control’ support to the Project. • Support Management of consultancy framework agreements: Control invoices, cumulative spent and identify when a call-off has expired. • Support additional call-offs when needed with the support from contracts and legal departments. • Manage the internal change control process for packages under purview, identifying opportunities and early warnings on any potential deviation. • Liaise with the Cost Control Senior Manager, Project Controls Director, Project Planning team, Risk Manager and Change Manager in order to understand project issues and anticipate (and mitigate) their impact on the project’s budget.
