Commissioning Piping Supervisor

COMMISSIONING PIPING SUPERVISOR is required by our Client from Oil and Ga Sector, to be assigned on a contract basis, located in Ensenada, Mexico.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain accountability and responsibility of daily site activities witnessing in their respective discipline.
• Contribute to the sign-off process of Commissioning task sheets in their discipline.
• Work closely with Contractor’ s Engineering Department to ensure compliance to codes and standards.
• Work closely with the Construction Team on daily priorities for system/subsystem completion.
• Ensure continuous and accurate updating of EasyPlant as the mechanical, piping or HVAC works progress.
• Consistently adhere to the project objectives and priorities, safety, regulatory / environmental.
• Potentially support nightshift activities related to piping pressure or tightness testing (piping only)

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

Spanish is an advantage

Experienced in pre-commissioning / commissioning activities.

Experience in piping pneumatic or hydrotesting. Awareness of the code ASME B31.3 is a plus.

Experience in supervising of piping cleaning, same as cleaning packs review.

Experience in overseeing valve leak testing (API 598 knowledge is a plus), systems inerting and dry-out (experience with cryogenic systems is advantageous), piping support installation and inspection, and internal inspection and catalyst loading for vessels and equipment (e.g., columns, heat exchangers, KO drums).

Knowledge of main piping materials (stainless steel, carbon steel, PVC, HDPE), flange and isolation blind management, and PTW and HSE philosophy.
